The Central Synagogue

At the end of the Nordau Walk Way and the beginning of HaRav Herzog St., the Central Synagogue of Haifa is situated, built in the 40's of the 20th century. The antique, wood lined prayer sanctuary and magnificent holy ark is open for worshipers every day. The entrance hall is adorned by pillars and arches, inscribed tablets of the ten commandment and a pair of lions. A large adornement facing Herzel St., combines drawings of Elijah the Prophet, signs of the Twelve Tribes of Israel and a seven stemmed candelabra.
