The Carmel
The Mercaz ha Carmel (The Carmel Center) which was an area of wilderness up to the end of the 19th century can be regarded today as a magnificent testimony to the exemplary work carried out by the Templars during their stay in Haifa. To experience this, just take a tour among all the original houses of the neighbourhood, the villas, convalescent homes, all on the backdrop of a wonderful view which can be seen from every angle, transporting you in the blink of an eye to the beginning of the 20th century. |
