Its role since 1975 has been to educate, advance, nurture and explain all the secrets of the arts of cinema. </span></strong><span>The daily task of the Cinematheque, which you can see from its repertoire . is to go into schools with educational activities which teach about the cinematic genre. As well as this, the Cinematheque also offers a variety of series of adult education classes and lectures on the cinema to older audiences. The Cinematheque is the key location for the <a href="http://haifaff.co.il/"><u>Haifa International Film Festival</u></a>, which takes place during Chol-ha-Moed Succot (i.e., the week between Succot and Simhat Torah).</span> <p class="MsoNormal"><span>Here at the Cinematheque we offer the public a very wide variety of programmes, including classic movies, reconstructions and retrospectives, as well as new and contemporary cinema. We also have specialist and one-off programs from all over the world. Festival screenings are combined with conversational dialogues between the audience and creators of cinema who come both from Israel and from all over the world.
